Hellos and Intros from Taylor: 1 Girl Nation

Hi, it's Taylor. This blog started when my mom thought about how there were no good sites for teens. So we decided to start a blog. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. Some of my major hobbies are reading, writing, soccer, and archery. Although I'm not doing soccer this year, I still love it. About a week ago I had a birthday and all my friends know I love music. That's when my friend introduced me to a band called 1 Girl Nation. I was surprised that I had never heard of them but found that I loved their music and style. 1 Girl Nation is a band praising God and encouraging young girls growing in Him.

The song I selected to put on Anchored is Love Like Crazy. 1 Girl Nation will be performing as an opening for the Secret Keeper Girl Tour. Other upbeat songs on the album are While We're Young, Vertical, Live for You, Count your Rainbows (one of my favorites), Turn Around, Invade, and 1 Girl Nation.

Welcome to Anchored Teens!

Anchored is a brand new blog just for teen girls.  In this crazy world, it's easy to feel lost.  But, we trust in God's Word.  In Hebrews 6:19, it says, "We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure."  When you love and follow Christ, you can be confident in knowing that no matter what happens or comes your way, He is your hope.  In Him, you are anchored, firm and secure.  

The goal of this blog is to support, encourage, and challenge you as you walk through your teen years.  Our vision for this blog is that it be multi-functional.  First, we hope that it will be a central location where you can come for a variety of Christ-centered resources such as lists and links to books, music, fashion, websites, other blogs, etc.  Secondly, we desire to regularly post about topics that are relevant to your life.  Thirdly, we desire to hear from YOU.  Please leave comments with your thoughts as well as questions.  We'd love to tailor blog posts specifically to the things you have going on in your life, as well as things you want to know more about.  In addition, we would like to invite YOU to be a guest blogger!  Check out the "Share Your Story" tab to find out more.
